As my final project for week 3 of my virtual environment class, I created an indoor ancient tunnel ruins environment. I wanted to create an indoor environment where we worked on asset creation, texturing, composition, lighting, and look development.
I modeled everything from surrounding interior structures to pillars and even metal grills in Maya. Then, I added textures and details using Substance Sampler and Painter. Finally, I brought it all together in Unreal Engine, setting up the lighting and composition.
The water shader was a helpful tool provided by UTD.
Assets used from online: Tree with textures (modified the diffuse map in substance 3D painter)
Assets used from Unreal Engine marketplace: The fire torches, imported from UE marketplace Dungeon project
